10 home decor brands presented Ukraine at the Ambiente exhibition

10 February 2023

Frankfurt am Main, February 7, 2023 – Ukrainian home decor brands within the framework of the association of female entrepreneurs Oplich presented their products at the Ambiente exhibition, which took place on February 3-7 in Germany. With their participation, the participants once again wanted to confirm the position of Ukraine on the subject design map as a bold, sustainable, innovative state, full of a lot of talent, ideas and non-standard solutions.

Ambiente is the world's largest exhibition of consumer goods, held annually in Frankfurt am Main. The exhibition features a variety of products in three main areas: Dining (tableware, serving, cutlery, electrical appliances, design, accessories), Giving (souvenirs, gifts, jewelry) and Living (interior items, textiles, beauty and health products I, festive decor). Ambiente-2023 also focused on current topics such as sustainability, new approaches to work, design, lifestyle, connection with nature, retail of the future and the expansion of digitalization in trade. According to preliminary estimates, in 2023 the exhibition received more than 4,000 exhibitor stands and more than 100,000 visitors from such TOP-10 countries (except Germany) as Italy, France, USA, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Great Britain, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Poland and Switzerland.

This year at the exhibition, ten brands of the creative industry from Ukraine presented more than 100 products from their range of products at the joint Oplich stand, among them:

The collective stand was located in the most visited area of the exhibition - Living - next to individual and collective exhibitions of other countries. The participants' stand consisted of two parts - shelves with participants' products and a lifestyle zone that simulated a cozy room with decorative items - using the general creative branding of the Oplich initiative - "Ukrainian brands for cozy home".

It is important that Ambiente is not only an information platform, but also an effective place for establishing business connections. During the 5 days of the exhibition, the participating Ukrainian companies held 5 meetings on ordering and cooperation and received 100 contacts of potential partners and customers.

The participation of Ukrainian enterprises from the sphere of creative industries at the Ambiente international exhibition in Frankfurt was organized by the NGO "Ukrainian Center for Promotion of Investments and Trade" with the support of the USAID Program "Competitive Economy of Ukraine".

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses have been threatened with existence, and with it, the well-being of our families. We are proud that, even in spite of extremely difficult conditions, the creative industry is developing at an accelerated pace, and we want Ukrainian women entrepreneurs to make a breakthrough, opening up new markets for themselves and representing our country at leading international exhibitions. Thus, their businesses will become truly sustainable, and we will be able to protect Ukrainian identity and culture, which this war seeks to destroy. We hope that very soon the products of the participants of the initiative will live next to their owners all over the world, uniting them with a special Ukrainian energy," says the executive director of the NGO "Ukrainian Center for the Promotion of Investments and Trade" Iryna Tytarchuk.

"The presentation of the products of Ukrainian entrepreneurs at the largest exhibition of consumer goods Ambiente is a great opportunity to present the creative potential of Ukraine and establish business ties. USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine supports women's entrepreneurship and stimulates the entry of entrepreneurs into new markets, which helps increase sales and preserve jobs," said Olesya Zaluska, head of the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine.
